The council of the revolutionary youth said the content of the reports of the groups of the national dialog conference about final outcomes was entirely positive expect outcomes included in some reports contradicting with the human rights principles, violating the social justice standards and conflicting with the good governance standards. However, such outcomes can be addressed and the reports be reviewed through taking into accounts notes presented to the closing session of the dialog conference, it said.
The statement was made at a news conference which was held by the high coordinating committee of the council on Thursday in Sanaa to announce the council's stance over the document of the final guarantees of the national dialog conference and to clarify the council's view over the post-dialog period.
In the statement read by member of the committee Aswan Shahir in the attendance of the general coordinator of the council Tawakkol Karman and members of the committee, the council voiced its support to what was included in the document of the guarantees.
However, it expressed its deep concerns over giving an unknown timeframe for other missions and requirements which the constitution and the electoral law should set their time and the document of the national dialog conference's outcomes not naming them as missions and requirements that should be met during the second transitional phase.
These missions and requirements, mentioned in the document, are considered the requirements of the transitional period mentioned in the power transfer agreement, the Gulf Initiative which was supposed to be implemented in the past two years but has been postponed to a new period. The first transitional period has passed without achieving any of its requirements, and now the outcomes of the national dialog conference have been added to its requirements, it said.
It expressed sorrow over failure to achieve the responsibilities and requirements of the first transitional period because of obstructions and obvious attempts to undermine the transitional period by some parties and remnants of the corrupt regime and failure to hold those responsible for breaches to account.
The real problem does not lie in the draft of the guarantees but in the guarantees for implementing the document of guarantees itself, it said, expressing doubts over these missions and requirements which it said could not find a way to be implemented during the proposed extra period.
It is unacceptable to move to the post-dialog period with all obstructionists and incompetents in their positions, it said.
It called on president of the republic to clarify to the people why the issue required more time, why responsibilities and requirements of the first transitional period could not be implemented and what the reasons for obstruction and failures were and who was to blame.
It warned of going to elections before establishing state institutions because that contradicts with the concept of the transitional period and gives an opportunity for chaos and spread of corruption.
Going to elections before establishing the state and finishing the restructuring of the armed and security forces is not good and implies major risks that could not help establish a modern civil state for which martyrs and the wounded have sacrificed, it said.
It denounced removing the word of revolution from the documents of guarantees and the reports of the dialog conference's groups and ignoring the role of the youth of the change revolution, saying such ignorance will obliterate the truth of the youth of the 11th February revolution.
It rejected treating the revolution through groups or individuals created to speak for the youth of the peaceful revolution without an authorization from the youth.
On the other hand, it announced its vision for the post-dialog which focuses on achieving all goals of the peaceful youth revolution that will be the only project of the youth's struggle during the next period.
it will launch activities and mobilise youth efforts to pressure for implementing its vision, all requirements of the transitional period and the outcomes of the national dialog conference.
At the end of the news conference, Karman, the council's spokesperson Mizar Al-Junaid and secretary general Abdulghani Al-Maweri replied to questions of the press.
The battle of the council during the next period will be against corruption which if it continues, the state will collapse, Karman said, adding that he council will pressure towards implementing all outcomes of the national dialog conference topped by the goals of peaceful change.
Doubting the ability of the transitional government to implement the outcomes of the dialog conference included in the final document of guarantees, the council has decided to take such move, she said.
