Council condemns Houthi call for march on Sanaa

The council of the revolutionary youth condemned a Houthi call for marching on the capital Sanaa saying in a statement the call was a political exploitation of the people's suffering and rejection of the price hikes to achieve their expansionism goals.

We reject the government's plan to increase the prices of fuel, it said, adding that it will be a mistake to go ahead with the plan away from a package of comprehensive reforms.

The Houthi call to march on Sanaa will be destroy all opportunities of transition to a stable life and take the country into a civil war, it said, calling for immediate reforms to fight corruption, improve services, terminate unfair agreements including oil and gas agreements, restore looted public funds and properties, withdraw weapons of militias, impose he rule of law across the country, and start implementation of the outcomes of the national dialog conference within a specific timeframe.

In the statement a copy of which was obtained by Almasdaronline website, it also called for meeting these demands away from violence or responding those inciting violence.
