Council condemns Houthi attack on its HQ in Sanaa

The council of the revolutionary youth condemned occupation of its headquarters and looting its equipment in the capital Sanaa by the Houthis pro-Saleh, describing the move as "a barbaric attack".

In a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Almasdaronline website, it called on the Yemenis to face the militias with all legitimate means of resistance until the coup is ended, the country liberated and the state restored.

Houthi-Saleh seizure of power is a blatant rape of the Yemenis' right, it said, adding that the Yemeni will never accept this control of power.

"The national duty calls on all to face this coup which sees democracy, republic, unity, the 11th February revolution and all ambitions of Yemenis of a better state and rule of law as enemies that should be taken down in an uncalculated gamble," it said.

It called countries to support the resistance of the Yemeni people to restore their state, saying, "any attempt to establish peace in Yemen will not succeed expect with the withdrawal of militias from Yemeni land, handover of weapons to a transitional authority, the militia becoming a political party and achieving transitional justice".
