The council of the revolutionary youth said the decision to lift oil subsidies comes within systemic looting measures which come within policies aimed at starving the people by the current government and has nothing to do with reforms.
In a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Almasdaronline website, the council rejected economic reforms announced by the government describing them as "a miserable levy".
Taking such a decision before addressing imbalances in state agencies is "a completely predatory decision".
Current imbalances have been caused government's widespread corruption not the oil subsidies, it said, adding that the decision's results will not be positive unless the government adopts a clear transitional economic vision.
"The solution starts with adopting a clear, effective economic vision based on fighting corruption and good use of resources, not through a random decision that will mostly serve thieves who have been controlling the country for decades".
The council called on the people to reject the decision and put pressure with all peaceful means on the government to make a package of political decisions and policies reflecting the seriousness of the government to alleviate the suffering of the people.
It suggested economic measures and policies including committing the government to a clear and transparent austerity plan, removing phantom jobs, freeing sovereign state resources such as customs, taxes and oil from the hands of the corrupt officials, and terminating unfair oil and gas agreements on top of which the agreement with France's Total company.
"Among suggested measures are putting the military and the security sectors under the supervision of the Parliament, correcting huge imbalances that have made the two sectors a hotbed for corruption, removing the tribes' affairs authority, addressing advantages that deepen discrimination among the people, stopping illegal rewards, and issuing urgent laws to fight corruption topped by streamlining the law of the central organisation for control and audit," it continued.
