The council of the revolutionary youth held the power-sharing government responsible for the crisis in the country which is being exploited by armed militias to threaten social peace.
Stay of militias after they have controlled and expanded foreshadows the dysfunction of half of the transition period requirements that were stipulated by the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism and the outcomes of the national dialog conference.
General coordinator Tawwakol Karman said the council sees that any government programme for change at the present time or in the future will not succeed unless it states clearly for imposing the rule of law on all areas of the country and withdrawing weapons of the armed militias.
"Any cabinet formation should not include the armed Houthi group unless this group switches into a political party and drops violence and weapons in areas under its control," she said.
Karman suggested forming the upcoming government from technocrats not based on power quotas because the latter will result in a transitional failure.
"Former president should nominate his ministers for sovereign portfolios himself. The new prime minister should be a skilled economist with an administration experience," she said, condemning defence of corruption under any justifications and affirming leaders can lift Yemen out of the current crisis if they shoulder their national responsibilities.
