Statement by Peaceful Revolution Youth Council on fourth anniversary of February 11 Revolution

O Yemen, the Revolution and Change... The Peaceful February 11 Revolution, an extension of the September and October revolutions, and a realization of the Yemeni people's aspirations for building their democratic national state, declares today its onward journey towards achieving its rightful national objectives.

We stand as a resilient and visionary generation, directing our message to the global community.
The indomitable will of the people remains unyielding, as the determined generations persist in their aspirations and dreams, refusing to retreat or succumb to the forces of oppression and tyranny.

Our revolution, in the face of daunting challenges, triumphed through unwavering persistence and determination, with sacrifices that sanctified the homeland's soil with the abundant bloodshed in the pursuit of freedom and dignity, leaving an enduring stigma on the perpetrators' conscience.
Today, we are facing even graver challenges, represented by the armed Houthi militia's coup against state institutions, in a clear alliance with murderers and enemies of the Yemeni people, positioning itself as an alternative to the state, storming towards chaos by violating state institutions, usurping the military and security forces to be used against the people, and threatening their movements by suppressing dissenting demonstrations and protests, rejecting their abhorrent coup, thus boldly defying the February 11 revolution, the outcomes of the national dialogue, and the gains of the September and October revolutions.

The extensive gatherings and widespread demonstrations occurring throughout Yemen vividly manifest the resolute rejection of the ongoing succession of coups and the policy of imposing a fait accompli through unscrupulous militias. The prevailing sentiment underscores the undeniable significance of honoring the will of the people, who have courageously transcended the confines of oppression. By means of our peaceful resistance, we unequivocally uphold the sanctity and dignity of Yemeni lives, firmly asserting that violent factions and armed militias, propelled by aspirations of dominance and exclusion, are incapable of fostering nation-building endeavors, instead engendering an atmosphere of chaos that begets untold hardships and tragedies, while concurrently providing fertile ground for the proliferation of terrorism.

The palpable deterioration across all spheres encompassing the economic, social, and security domains bespeaks the profound suffering endured by our populace, the ramifications of which extend beyond local borders, posing a consequential threat to regional and international security. We remain committed to the peaceful path of the February 11th revolution, as peace advocates for life, while violence and weapons are its antithesis.

We appreciate the regional and international positions that reject the coup and support the will of the Yemeni people. However, it is concerning that the United Nations sponsors a dialogue conducted under duress, as this approach is unlikely to yield genuine solutions but rather validate the coup and undermine the political process, favoring the use of force instead of respecting the choices of the Yemeni people.

Led by the youth of the revolution, the Yemeni people initiate a new revolutionary phase today, firmly committed to their peaceful revolution until the coup is overthrown and the state, seized since September 21, 2014, is restored, thereby achieving the objectives of the peaceful February 11th revolution.

Down with the coup!
Long live the peaceful popular youth revolution!
May God protect Yemen, its land, and its people.
