Peaceful Revolution Youth Council endorses national anti-Houthi gathering statement

The Peaceful Revolution Youth Council expresses its warm welcome and support for the statement released by the expanded national meeting of government and political leaders, held in the courageous city of Aden, which vehemently rejects the Houthi coup and their occupation of the capital, Sana'a.

The Council wholeheartedly endorses the decisions made during this significant gathering, as they reflect the will of the Yemeni people to reject and resist the Houthi coup.

The Council wholeheartedly welcomes and appreciates the stance conveyed in the statement of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, expressed during their extraordinary meeting held in Riyadh, which reflects the steadfast commitment of our Gulf brethren to the well-being, security, stability, and unity of Yemen, resonating with the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

The Houthi theocratic project, associated with velayat-e faqih in Tehran, lacks a future in Yemen, given its limited lifespan and inability to withstand the strong determination of the Yemeni people in their pursuit of a federal, democratic, and civil state.

The Houthi terrorist militias, operating with a coup-seeking agenda, are but a different manifestation of the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization, and their imminent defeat, alongside Al-Qaeda, is inevitable as their aggressive acts against the Yemeni people cannot endure in the face of the indomitable will of the Yemeni people.

The treachery and betrayal displayed by those we once regarded as part of the Yemeni people will ultimately backfire, as our resilient population will not permit this minority of theocratic dominance to conquer them through the means of force, terrorism, and deceit.

The Yemeni regions stand resolutely against the Houthi coup and its crimes, determined to confront and overcome it, with steadfast support from the people, to restore the unified Yemeni national state that is targeted for fragmentation and eradication, replacing it with theocratic forces detached from historical context, posing a threat to the security, tranquility, and stability of the people and the region.

The Council fully endorses the resolutions established in the extensive meeting held in Aden, which entail the creation of a unified leadership structure for the coup-opposing governorates, encompassing administrative, security, and political aspects. Temporary structures will be implemented until official recognition is granted after the referendum on the new constitution, with governors overseeing procedures and establishing a supreme coordinating body to effectively manage the ongoing crisis.

In the scenario where the capital city of Sana'a continues to be occupied and controlled by militias, the Council further backs the participants' decision to explore significant measures for the temporary relocation of the capital to Aden until the coup and militia control are brought to an end, while urging the international community to endorse and provide support for this crucial step.

The Youth Revolution Council, while congratulating the comprehensive meeting for its resolutions, reaffirms its support and determination to accomplish them, as they align with the outcomes of the National Dialogue; moreover, the Council emphasizes that the criminal and brutal practices, such as suppressing freedom of expression, abductions, torture, killings, and the expansion of militias, will only strengthen the Yemeni people's determination to continue forward in defeating this terrorist Houthi theocratic coup and establishing a democratic federal civil state.
