Peaceful Revolution Youth Council Warns Against Sharing Influence in Yemen Under Militia Authority

The Peaceful Revolution Youth Council has released a statement concerning the recent developments in Taiz and Aden, Yemen. The Council expressed concern over the escalating unrest and political and media escalation brought on by supporters of the separatist Transitional Council, which culminated in the council threatening to hold unilateral talks with the Houthis.

The Council also noted the military movements near the Ma'ashiq presidential palace and the storming of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate's headquarters in Aden, as well as the legitimate government's inadequate response. The statement criticized the legitimate government for apologizing and stating that it supports the southern Transitional Council's “just cause,” despite the fact that the STC and its regional allies openly acknowledge that "the just cause" refers to the division of Yemen.

The Council expressed concern about the absence of patriotic forces defending Yemeni gains and constants, as well as the nation's weakness and dependence on outside forces for its sovereign decision-making. The statement cautioned against dragging the country into situations that could lead to Yemen being divided into spheres of foreign influence.

The Council stated that crimes do not have a statute of limitations and are not subject to political agreements or bargains. No political group or component has the authority to disregard the rights of the victims, and war criminals seeking to mend political ties with their victims should use established legal and judicial routes and mechanisms.

The Council also warned against illegal militias and externally funded projects to sever and split Yemen, including the militias supported by Iran or the UAE-Saudi occupation coalition. The so-called Presidential Leadership Council is not authorized to reach any agreements outside the parameters of the Republican National Accord, nor is it authorized to renounce Yemenis' achievements in terms of a republic, unity, democracy, and a state of law.

The Council urged Yemen to not rely on Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other international actors, as it would only exacerbate the country's disarray, strife, and divisions. The Council also criticized the political components’ muteness during this pivotal period in Yemen's history and their decision to maintain their neutrality rather than express even the most fundamental opinions in opposition to these threats and the skewed political environment.

The Council called for popular opposition to be mobilized in opposition to the official and partisan political decision continuing to be held captive by the occupation coalition and its tools, as well as in opposition to the Iranian terrorist Houthi militias that have set Yemen back hundreds of years.

It exhorted Yemenis to take action to defend their interests from those who trade in them and manipulate them, given that they themselves are the ones with the right to a state, stability, peace, and good citizenship.

In conclusion, the Peaceful Revolution Youth Council expressed concern about the recent developments in Taiz and Aden and called for the protection of Yemen's gains and constants, and for Yemenis to defend their interests from those who seek to manipulate and divide them.
