The council of the revolutionary youth has rejected the transitional justice bill which was submitted by the legal affairs ministry to the council of the ministers as a prelude to refer it to the parliament to vote on it.
We reject the bill because it lacks least limits of justice and will protect criminals and insult the martyrs and those who were wounded during the peaceful revolution, it said in a statement.
It regretted that the bill ignored all proposals, notes and recommendations presented by bodies concerned with transitional justice that have been demanding the bill should meet international standards.
The council vowed to take down the bill and to struggle along with all youth entities to change it.
Any transitional justice law should be accepted by the families of the martyrs and the wounded and meet international transitional justice standards and accords, it added.
