Council: 26th September revolution greatest revolution in history

The council of the revolutionary youth said the 26th September revolution was not a mere event or historical coincidence but one of the greatest revolutions in history.

The revolution which took people from the ages of darkness to the ages of light deserves to be glorified and sacrifices, it said in a statement on the 56th anniversary of the 26th September revolution.

The heroes of this revolution paved the way for salvation to build a good future Yemenis have been dreaming of, it said.
Taking people to the imamate era with all this arrogance and aggressive practices redefined the imamate, it added.

"Despite the difficulties caused by war and plots of friends, the Yemeni people now see the imamate as a criminal gang. The age of thieves must end," it said.

"The anniversary falls this year while Yemen is continuing to experience the most dangerous period in its modern history. Internally, the imamate has come back with a new dress. Externally, the enemies of the 26th September revolution have come under the slogan of defending this revolution to attack it and to achieve what they had failed to achieve 50 years ago," it continued.

"Difficult circumstances surrounding our country, republic and unity require a high level of national responsibility to face what is threatening the republic and its optimum values. They require the Yemenis to unite around the republic which if it is lost, their dignity and meaning of their lives are lost".

The council emphasised the most important principle of the September revolution which is the republican system, saying, "the republic is the opposite of family, sectarian and regionalism projects".

"Any state official should not say they belong to the 26th September revolution while they have a family, sectarian or regionalism project. The Houthi coup will not end unless we have a national decision".
