This year commemorates the 53rd anniversary of the everlasting October 14 Revolution, initiated by the heroic Rajeh bin Ghaleb Labouza from the majestic and towering Radfan peaks.
From this vantage point, he declared armed resistance against the empire on which the sun never set, leading to the successful achievement of independence for the southern part of our nation on November 30, 1967.
O free Yemenis,
Our people's history in the north and south, in the face of oppression and colonialism, is one that is full of wonderful surprises. This is due to the fact that they are a people that reject oppression, subjugation, and humiliation. With the support of all national liberation forces across the nation, our people waged the armed struggle in the south with a single national will under the banner of the National Front for the Liberation of the Occupied South from British Colonialism. As a sort of tribute to their enormous sacrifices and respect for their pure blood, with which they penned the greatest chapters of glory and pride, we take great pride in the history of our free fathers and forefathers.
The ongoing struggle against tyranny and colonialism in all its manifestations remains a pressing endeavor for us. Yemenis persistently fight for their rightful desires of freedom, dignity, and social justice. The October 14th revolution stands as a powerful testament to the ongoing battle, as our people engage in an armed struggle across our nation, confronting a rogue gang aspiring to revive a regressive system based on racism, tribalism, and the oppression of freedoms and tolerance, a rule that Yemenis had buried over half a century ago but are now vehemently opposing.
Indeed, the Council firmly believes that the national battle at hand is centered around the construction of the Federal Republic of Yemen, a vision that was collectively embraced by Yemenis during the National Dialogue Conference, as there is no alternative path to realizing the legitimate aspirations and dreams for which Yemenis have made immense sacrifices across different stages of their struggle, except by toppling the coup, reinstating the agreed-upon outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and conducting a referendum on the constitution of the Federal Republic of Yemen.
O free Yemenis,
In commemorating the everlasting September and October revolutions, it is crucial to recognize the significance of this pivotal juncture, as we confront one of the most merciless criminal factions in history, backed by the Tehran mullahs who, driven by their ambitions, animosities, and desires for regional dominance, have inflicted an unprecedented tragedy upon our nation, unparalleled in ancient or modern history. The looming specter of famine poses a grave threat to hundreds of thousands of Yemenis under the oppressive rule of a fascist coup that wants to turn back the wheel of history and replace the principles of citizenship with a divisive dichotomy of masters and slaves.
The spirit of October, along with the preceding September revolution, embodies a unified essence capable of overcoming challenges and bringing about transformative changes, while the peaceful February revolution seamlessly continues the legacy of these earlier movements. Today's demands for liberation, emancipation from slavery and racism, and self-governance are interconnected with the aspirations of the past. However, these aspirations are fiercely opposed by colonial forces and proponents of the divine selection theory, who perpetuate internal occupation, fragment the social fabric, and undermine national sovereignty to fulfill their desires for acquisition, control, and dominance.
Today, the spirit of October lives on along with Yemenis' courage and tenacity as they work to build a state based on the rules of law and institutions, where the army protects the country's existence and security and all citizens are treated equally without experiencing any form of prejudice, exclusion, or marginalization.
