Once again, September graced the sky,
A morning reborn, with hope held high.
In its wake, darkness trembled and fell,
Clearing the path where dreams could dwell.
It awakens spirits, breathes life anew,
Through veins it courses, like healing true.
Love and peace on its wings unfurled,
Oh, blessed we are by this architect divine,
For the past 61 years, Yemenis all over the country have been celebrating their nation's birth as an ancient land, where every citizen is valued with equal rights and responsibilities. This commemoration also marks their liberation from the grip of slavery and oppression, transitioning into a society governed by the principles of the rule of law. It all began on September 26, 1962, when Yemenis first embraced their own power and prosperity after enduring years of isolation, poverty, hunger, and humiliation.
While the Yemeni people celebrate their national holidays and safeguard their national accomplishments, they remain vigilant and never forget the betrayals committed by internal and external parties. These parties, driven by narrow interests and deep-rooted animosities, have formed alliances with reactionary and obscurantist groups, thus compromising the republic and its capital. Such actions and alliances, fueled by self-interest and entrenched animosities, have ultimately resulted in the downfall and loss of the republic, including its capital, Sanaa.
The Yemeni people are fully aware of the projects of destruction and fragmentation that serve the agendas of these parties in the north and south of the country, fueled by regional funding and local instruments. Their ultimate objective is to transform Yemen into warring fiefdoms controlled by sectarian and regional militias. The Council acknowledges that the resilience of the republic and its achievements relies on the public's awareness of the dangers posed by these destructive projects and their steadfast refusal to align with or permit their implementation.
The Peaceful Revolution Youth Council regards the current battle of the Yemeni nationalists today, facing the despicable sectarian, racist, and obscurantist Houthi project that seeks to reproduce the Imamate system through the same opportunistic religious discourse and oppressive terrorist practices. It considers this moment as a significant milestone for a profound examination of this greatest historical event, its achievements, and the heroic sacrifices of its men, whose pure blood has enriched the Yemeni soil in the pursuit of building a modern nation-state based on the principles of law and citizenship.
The Council is not taken aback by the audacious actions of the Houthi militia, who futilely attempt to erase the identity of Yemenis and distort their history. They have done so by removing the commemoration of September 26 from the list of national holidays, manipulating the revolution's primary objective of eliminating social disparities and privileges between classes, all driven by their fear of the concept of citizenship that poses a threat to their existence. Furthermore, they have replaced national symbols and events with their fighters and sectarian ceremonies, squandering the people's stolen resources on extravagant celebrations and military parades devoid of any moral or national value. These desperate attempts seek to rewind the wheels of history before September 26.
The battle of national salvation that the Yemenis waged on September 26 has the potential to permanently bury the remnants of the Imamate. Today, our national struggle is evident on multiple fronts. While it confronts the reemergence of the racist group, it also faces the looming threat of external occupation that nourishes the roots of the Imamate and supports its continued existence.
The Council staunchly affirms that the fundamental pillars of the nation, including the republic, unity, and democracy, are interconnected and indivisible. To disregard any of these principles would constitute a betrayal of the noble September Revolution and the sacrifices made by its valiant heroes.
The Council commends the vigilance of the September-related national state and the unwavering commitment of the republic in confronting the agendas of imamate, occupation, and dismemberment. It firmly asserts that September, October, November, May, and February are eternal landmarks in Yemeni history, protected by the collective determination of the Yemeni people, who refuse to succumb to defeat, alienation, or oppression.
The Republic of Yemen, encompassing its northern and southern regions, extending from east to west, including its occupied capital and every inch of its territory, will ultimately be reclaimed by its rightful owners. Regardless of the length of time it may take, the day when this becomes evident is imminent.
Mercy be upon the martyrs,
Healing be upon the wounded,
Glory be to the great Republic of Yemen.
