During its regular meeting today, the Supreme Coordinating Body of the Peaceful Revolution Youth Council addressed various national developments and issues.
Of particular concern was the government's implementation of price adjustments without holistic reforms and measures to promote transparency in public administration, effectively combat corruption, achieve a comprehensive economic recovery, and ensure a decent quality of life for citizens.
The Council vehemently opposes the price increase, implemented without implementing comprehensive reforms. It also strongly condemns Al-Houthi's call to mobilize towards Sana'a, which goes against the principles and objectives of the peaceful revolution on February 11. The Council categorically rejects this call, viewing it as a political manipulation by an armed ideological group that refuses to transform into a political party and forcibly controls substantial regions of the country. The Council perceives this call as serving the group's expansionist agenda, exacerbating the missed chances for stability and a decent standard of living, and pushing the country closer to collapse and internal strife.
The Youth Council calls for the expeditious implementation of comprehensive reforms and measures to combat corruption, improve citizen well-being, abolish corrupt and unjust oil and gas agreements, recover misappropriated public funds and assets, promptly disarm armed militias, establish state authority and sovereignty over seized territories, and adhere to a specific timetable for implementing the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference.
The Council earnestly encourages all members of our community to embrace a daily journey of peaceful activism towards realizing these aspirations, without succumbing to any form of violence or heeding the instigators who promote it.
