With the participation of singer Abdulrahman Al-Haddad and Nobel Laureate Tawakkol Karman, the council of the revolutionary youth on Saturday held a festival to mark the anniversary of the independence day of 30th November.

Karman, the general coordinator of the council, said she hoped that the people mark the anniversary next year with their country making its own decision without interference or tutelage of anyone.

Member of the council Zaid Al-Salam said the duty of the council is to rehabilitate all Yemeni revolutions including the 30th November because the council is the one capable to face all challenges faced by the people.

"We, in the council, are fully aware of all challenges and that the people who provided huge sacrifices for great revolutions will not accept any attempt to ruin their future," Al-Salam said.

Singer Al-Haddad performed some of revolutionary songs during the festival. Poems by poets Amir Al-Saidi and Said Al-Asali were delivered as well.
