Peaceful Revolution Youth Council Statement on 14th Anniversary of February 11

As we commemorate the 14th anniversary of the glorious February 11 Revolution, we do so at a defining moment in history—one that reaffirms the triumph of the peoples’ free will. From the fall of tyranny in Syria to the victories of our brothers in Sudan, these events serve as undeniable proof that the will for change is indomitable. No matter how oppressive and entrenched authoritarian regimes may seem, they are ultimately destined to collapse before the determination of people yearning for freedom and dignity.

On this occasion, the Council reaffirms the following:

The victories of Arab peoples inspire all forces of change, proving that the struggle for a nation built on equal citizenship—rather than subjugation and blind allegiance—is unstoppable. Tyranny, no matter how long it lasts, is destined to fall.

It is deeply regrettable that this anniversary comes as Yemen endures one of its worst economic and humanitarian crises, marked by currency collapse, deteriorating services, and the legitimate government’s failure to govern effectively. Meanwhile, the Houthi terrorist militia continues its repression, starvation, and sectarian indoctrination, exploiting the absence of state authority and the region’s waning resolve to confront it.

True patriotism lies in upholding the republic, Yemen’s unity and sovereignty, and the establishment of a state governed by the rule of law—principles that must remain non-negotiable.

The Yemeni people rejected foreign interference in their sovereign decision-making during the February Revolution and will continue to resist any actors who compromise national interests. This includes rejecting all forms of occupation and external meddling, particularly from Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, along with their local proxies.

February was not a fleeting moment but an enduring national project to reclaim the people's right to their land, governance, and resources. It is a movement committed to holding all perpetrators of crimes against Yemenis accountable, regardless of their status.

The February Revolution is not a familial, regional, sectarian, or factional endeavor; it is a democratic movement that guarantees all Yemenis—regardless of background—the right to freely choose, hold accountable, and replace their leaders.

Today, more than ever, we reaffirm our pledge to the martyrs of the February Revolution and to the fallen heroes who gave their lives in the battle to restore the republic. We honor all those who have sacrificed for Yemen. We remain steadfast in our struggle, steadfast in our belief that the will of the people will always prevail. Yemen belongs to all its free sons and daughters, and no force can suppress their rightful aspirations for justice, dignity, and sovereignty.
